Environmental Responsibility
Siat firmly believes in environmentally friendly production. For instance, all factory waste of the oil mills is recycled into the plantation or used as fuel to generate green process steam and electricity. The Ghanaian production is certified sustainable and organic. EcoCert audits the plantation activities in view of delivering a bio-certificate. CIRAD assists our plantation managers with an integrated pest control and soil fertility management system.
Siat’s firm commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible plantation development and management is anchored in a joint research programme with CIRAD of France.
